Position Summary: The Researcher will primarily work with EPCRC staff on Mongolian competitiveness research, as well as publishing bi-lingual journal and international relationship activities. The Researcher may be called on to perform writing and editing of materials, presentations, trainings and workshops related to his work and experience, as well as assisting in the delivery of such trainings or workshops. 1. Scope of Work The Researcher will concentrate in the following areas: • Support the ECPRC staff to implement a competitiveness research; to consult the management team on strategic research and planning. • Development of webpage and social networking. • Research and prepare materials for ECPRC staff, as needed, on various research jobs, products, services, and initiatives which have already been implemented in other domestic and international contexts. • Coordinate cooperation and establish good communications with different international organizations and projects on competitiveness, including macroeconomic policy. • Implementation of survey, external and internal economic environment researches. • Support the management with environmental analysis by strategy and business plan. • Assist the Centre in its day-to-day activities.

Qualifications and Experience: The following qualifications and experience are essential: • Bachelor degree with relevant coursework in economics. • Three years work experience • Demonstrated analytical skills. • Strong written and oral communications. • Strong planning skills and attention to detail. • Efficient, results-oriented work style. • Ability to work in a cross-cultural team environment. The following qualifications and experience are also desirable: • Interest and experience in competitiveness.

Location: Based in Ulaanbaatar, with occasional travel to rural areas of Mongolia expected and travel to international destinations for conferences or seminars possible.
